FAQ

  • Are estimates free?

In most cases, yes. Occasionally need arises on large projects for in-depth consultation that may require inventory, risk assessment, or higher levels of inspection with specialized processes.

  • What do you do with the wood and chips?

Our equipment will process up to a 12” log, so most brush from the tree will be turned into wood chips. These chips are typically given away or recycled at a compost center. The online program chipdrop.com is a system where homeowners can sign up to receive free wood chips from local arborists. Logs larger than 12” are saved for firewood, we operate a “firewood bank” in the winter with our church to supply families in need with wood to heat their homes.

  • How can I save money on my quote?

There are multiple ways to accomplish this including leaving the stump, “no haul off”, or considering processes that will expedite the removal process but may cause more damage to the surrounding landscape. The most frequent example of this we do is leave the firewood-size logs on site for the homeowner to dispose of.

  • Do you get rid of the stump?

This is pending the homeowner’s preference and budget. Options typically include stump grinding or cutting it to ground level. We’ve left them at different heights to set flower pots on or even 10’ high for carving!

  • What separates you from other tree services in the area?

Our goal is to be different in every way. To start, our crew is comprised of family and friends, our equipment is clean and well-maintained. Company professionalism shows through continued education and certifications and we will always act with what is best for the customer, property, and trees in mind. We consider it a privilege to be trusted with caring for your trees and act accordingly.
